What We Believe

"What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us." - A.W. Tozer

Core Beliefs

God is Triune
We believe in one God who exists eternally in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each Person is fully and equally God, working in perfect unity in creation, redemption, and restoration.

God the Father
God the Father reigns with providential care over His creation. He is all-powerful, all-knowing, holy, loving, and just. He is Father to those who become His children through faith in Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died on the cross as the substitute for our sins, rose bodily from the grave, victorious over death and the powers of darkness and for a period of 40 days appeared to over 500 witnesses performing many convincing proofs of His resurrection.

He ascended to the right hand of the Father where he intercedes for His people and rules as Lord over all, awaiting His return. He is the Head of His body, the church, and should be adored, loved, served and obeyed by all.
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is fully God, active in creation, inspiration of Scripture, and the work of salvation. He convicts the world of sin, calls people to Christ, gives new spiritual life, indwells every believer, and empowers the church for mission and godly living.

The Bible
We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God. It is our final authority in all matters of faith and practice and sufficient for teaching, correcting, and equipping God’s people.

Humanity
God created man and woman in His image, designed for fellowship with Him. Because of sin, all people are spiritually dead and separated from God. As a result they are in need of salvation through Jesus Christ bringing them from death to life.
The Gospel
Jesus Christ is the Gospel. The good news is found in His birth, His perfect life, His sacrificial death, His victorious resurrection, and His glorious ascension. At the center of the Gospel is the cross of Christ, His death in our place, satisfying God’s holy justice, turning away His righteous wrath, and displaying His incredible love and grace. His resurrection is the power of the Gospel, and His ascension is the glory of the Gospel.

Jesus Christ alone is the mediator between God and man. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. At the heart of all true teaching is the cross of Jesus Christ and the eternal privilege that redeemed sinners have to glorify God because of what He has accomplished.

For this reason, we desire that everything we do in our hearts, in our church, and in our ministries flows out of and points back to the Gospel.
Humanity's Response to the Gospel
The right response to the Gospel is faith in Jesus Christ trusting fully in His person and His finished work on the cross. True faith is always accompanied by repentance: turning from sin and turning toward God. Biblical repentance produces a transformed life, and genuine saving faith will bear fruit in obedience and service to God’s kingdom.

While repentance and works cannot save us, they are evidence of salvation. Jesus taught that unless we deny ourselves, take up our cross, and follow Him, we cannot be His disciples. Salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone but the grace that saves also transforms.

Because of this, the Gospel must be faithfully and sincerely preached to all people in every nation, so that all may hear and respond to the call of Christ.
Believer's Inheritance
Salvation is the free gift of God, given by grace alone, received through faith alone, accomplished in Christ alone, and all for God’s glory alone. When a person turns from sin in repentance and trusts in Christ and His substitutionary death, they receive eternal life as a gift and are declared righteous before God.

Through faith, the righteousness of Christ is credited to the believer. They are justified, fully accepted by God, and reconciled to Him as a loving Father. Sin’s debt is forgiven, and through the miracle of regeneration, believers are freed from the power of sin and death and brought into the life-transforming freedom of the Holy Spirit.
Sanctification
Sanctification is the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit in the life of every believer. As He renews our minds and shapes our hearts, we are gradually conformed to the image of Christ, bearing His fruit in our thoughts, words, and actions. Though sin remains a reality in our lives, the Spirit leads us to grow in the knowledge of the Lord, to joyfully obey His commandments, and to live in a way that points others to Him and brings glory to our Father in heaven.

All believers are called to persevere in faith, understanding that one day we will give account to God for every thought, word, and deed. Spiritual disciplines such as prayer, worship, Bible study, confession, and fellowship are vital means through which God strengthens and guides us in this journey.

Ultimately, our confidence in persevering rests not on our own strength, but on God’s faithful promise to preserve His people and bring them safely to eternal life.
Empowered by the Spirit
The Holy Spirit equips and empowers every believer for faithful witness, joyful service, and fruitful ministry. Through His presence, we receive the promise of the Father, enabling us to participate in the work of God’s kingdom and experience the reality of His power in our daily lives.

The Spirit continually fills believers, guiding and strengthening them to proclaim the Gospel and serve others. He also imparts spiritual gifts for the edification of the church and the advancement of God’s mission in the world. These gifts, present in the church from its earliest days, are still available today and are to be desired, cultivated, and exercised in love and order.

Through the Spirit’s power, the church is able to fulfill its calling, demonstrating God’s presence and glory to the world.
The Church
God, by His Word and Spirit, creates the church, calling people from every nation and background into the fellowship of Christ’s body. Through the same Word and Spirit, He guides and preserves His redeemed people.

The church is not simply a religious institution or denomination. The universal church is composed of all who have genuinely placed their faith in Jesus Christ and personally embraced the Gospel. Locally, believers gather to worship God, grow in faith, and encourage one another in love and service.

The church exists to glorify God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and to faithfully carry out His mission in the world. This includes proclaiming the Gospel, making disciples, and supporting the planting of churches so that people everywhere may hear and respond to the good news of Jesus Christ. As God transforms individual lives, the church becomes a powerful means of transformation in society.

Upon conversion, believers are welcomed into a local church where they devote themselves to teaching, fellowship, the Lord’s Supper, prayer, and service living out their faith in community and bringing glory to God.
Marriage and Family
Our beliefs about marriage and sexuality are grounded in Scripture. God created humanity in His image, male and female, and calls us to live according to His design. While all have sinned and fallen short of His standards, God’s forgiveness, grace, and mercy are available to all who repent and turn to Him.

Marriage is intended by God to reflect Christ’s relationship with His Church. From the beginning, Scripture defines marriage as a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, a design reaffirmed by Jesus as God’s exclusive plan for sexual expression.

God designed sexual intimacy to be enjoyed within the context of this covenant relationship. Any sexual activity outside of a marriage between a husband and wife is contrary to God’s Word. As a church, we seek to honor God’s design for marriage, encouraging faithfulness, love, and holiness in all relationships.

Beyond marriage, God established the family as the first institution of discipleship and spiritual growth. Parents are called to lead, teach, and nurture their children in the ways of the Lord, modeling a life of obedience, love, and service. Families are meant to reflect God’s order and provide a safe environment where faith is learned, character is shaped, and children grow in wisdom and stature before God.
Ordinances of the Church
Believer's Baptism – an outward testimony of inward faith, by immersion, symbolizing the believer’s identification with the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ

The Lord’s Supper – a symbolic meal of bread and cup reminding believers of Christ’s sacrifice and proclaiming His death until He comes again.
Christ's Return
We believe that Jesus Christ will return personally, physically, and visibly in glory to consummate all things. At His return, the dead will be raised, and those who are alive in Christ will be transformed. Every person will stand before God, and He will judge the just and the unjust.

In this consummation, Satan, his angels, and all who reject Christ will be finally and eternally separated from God’s presence, experiencing the righteous judgment of His justice. Believers, clothed in glorious, resurrected bodies, will live and reign with Christ forever, serving Him and giving unending praise and glory.

At last, God’s kingdom will be fully realized in the new heavens and the new earth. Creation itself will reflect the fullness of His glory, and the eager longing of all things will be fulfilled as God makes all things new.
